Mock Exams Uganda – UCE and UACE Joint Mock Past Papers
Mock examination papers from Uganda’s joint examination boards, collected by board and kept up to date as new papers are added. Every paper listed here can be read on the page before you download it, and marking guides are published alongside the papers wherever we hold them.
Mocks by examination board
Each board sets its own papers against the same UNEB syllabus, so the content overlaps but the phrasing and mark distribution do not. Working across two or three boards is the most reliable way to prepare for a paper you have not seen.
- ACEITEKA mocks – the largest collection here, covering both UCE and UACE subjects.
- JJEB mocks – broad subject coverage across O and A Level.
- APEX mocks and pre-mocks – includes early-term pre-mock sets, useful for diagnosis.
- WAKISSHA mocks – also spelled WAKISHA; joint mocks sat by schools across the country.
- UNEB past papers – the real examinations, not mocks.
Mocks are not past papers
It is worth being clear about the difference, because candidates often treat the two as interchangeable. A UNEB past paper is an examination that was actually sat; it tells you exactly how the board words questions and allocates marks. A mock is a rehearsal written by teachers predicting that examination.
Both are useful, for different things. Use past papers to learn the examiner’s language and the shape of a full paper. Use mocks for volume, because there are far more of them and they cover the syllabus from more angles.
If you only have time for one, work the past papers. If you have a term, do both.
